About Me
Natasha is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Clinical Social Work and over 15 years of experience. She has worked as a clinician with both adults and youth, primarily providing mental health counseling and crisis intervention supports. With a focus on relationship and holistic health, Natasha supports individuals to identify and address personal challenges. She works with individuals who are experiencing trauma, mood, anxiety, substance use, and personality-related concerns.
Natasha utilizes an integrated counselling approach that draws from person-centred therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. She also has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Natasha collaborates with individuals to build relationship, identify treatment goals and process the difficult incidents, emotions and sensations that have been identified.
My Experience
Natasha is a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers. She completed her Masters in Clinical Social Work through the University of Calgary in 2013. Natasha also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta in addition to a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of British Columbia. Natasha has worked as a social worker in both Alberta and British Columbia. Natasha more recently finished training in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Before starting private practice, Natasha worked within the justice system in addition to various health care settings including acute care, continuing care, and community mental health. She has also worked in partnership with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Edmonton Police Services (EPS) to complete mental health assessments in community. Furthermore, Natasha has assisted in an independent psychiatric practice and is a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
